Would love to get my uncle’s violin checked out.

He came into into a violin with stradivarius on it but do know a lot of fakes as well

He was Italian and his name was Bartolomeo Giuseppe “del Gesù” Guarneri
I donate him that missing “i”.
Those mistakes happens if someone who has no idea about what one is publishing is doing a simple cut&paste.

Indeed , from time to time I had a violin in my hands were a slip of paper was found inside
telling that this beautiful instrument was made by Stradivari.:smiley:
Those are simple fakes, but there are others really perfectly made.
