Anker’s New SoundCore Liberty Earbuds Are The Best Value In Truly Wireless Headphones

Anker dropped a ton of new Soundcore Liberty truly wireless headphones on us last month. But today, we’re going to talk about the three pairs that matter the most.

These three pairs will be going on sale in mid-October, with pre-orders available right now. All are priced between $99 and $149, which makes all three of them really affordable. Especially for a pair of truly wireless earbuds. But given those prices, some people might be a bit skeptical about what Anker is really offering up at these prices. As the saying goes, “you get what you paid for”.

So we’re here to break them down and compare them. To help you find the pair that fits your needs the best.

Anker Soundcore Liberty 2

Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 are the cheaper pair here, along with the Liberty Air 2. And that means that they are going to be missing some features, compared to the other two here. The biggest difference is the drivers.

Anker has a pair of Diamond-Coated drivers on the Liberty 2. These drivers allow the Liberty 2 to produce flawless accuracy and treble that sounds incredible. Especially given its size.

With the HearID equalizer that is built into the Soundcore app, you’ll be able to adjust the sound coming out of the Liberty 2. There are 22 different sound profiles that you can choose from.

What is the most impressive about the Liberty 2, however, is the battery life. We’re looking at around eight hours on a single charge. With the included carrying case you can get 32 hours – that’s enough to charge the Liberty 2 three times. And, the best part is, it now uses USB-C. Allowing you to carry one cable around to charge your headphones, smartphone and everything else.

The carrying case that comes with the Liberty 2 isn’t the best. It’s a large pill shaped carrying case, and the cover slides open. It makes for easy access, and it is pretty small. So it will fit in your pocket. But it does feel very flimsy. It’s also made out of the shiny plastic, which also means that it’s going to get scratched up very easy, and attract dirt and dust. That’s not a great thing when these earbuds charge via contacts.

Overall, the Soundcore Liberty 2 appear to be some pretty good truly wireless headphones from Anker. Coming in at only $99, it makes it a really great buy.

Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro

With the Liberty 2 Pro, Anker brought in some new drivers. These are Astria Coaxial Acoustic Architecture or ACAA. These are state-of-the-art drivers that bring the 11mm dynamic driver and a customized Knowles balanced armature into a single body. Allowing them to be direct-to-ear, and eliminating interference. Giving the user an incredible sound experience.

Anker actually got 10 Grammy-Award Winning Audio Producers to endorse this pair of truly wireless headphones, so you know that these are a great pair for audiophiles. And at the price of just $149, it’s pretty impressive.

Also, these have the same style carrying case as the Liberty 2, above. They are in a pill-shaped carrying case, which is not a shiny plastic case this time around. It’s actually closer to the Sandstone material that OnePlus uses on its cases. The cover still slides open, revealing the earbuds. It does feel like it’s a lot more premium than the one that comes with the Liberty 2, which is a good thing.

So, Anker built these truly wireless earbuds for audiophiles. And at $149, they are much, much cheaper than Sennheiser and B&O Play’s audiophile truly wireless earbuds.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2

Liberty Air 2 do look like a rip off of the Airpods. But that doesn’t mean they are a bad pair of truly wireless headphones.

These actually have a pretty cool looking color palette. So you can get them in black or white. And both come with a few hints of red on them. Though the white is more of a cream color. Rather than a pure white like the Airpods.

Unlike the Airpods though, the Liberty Air 2 actually offer up some really good noise cancellation. These are using Qualcomm’s noise cancellation tech, cVc 8.0 Uplink Noise Cancellation. This is able to reduce environmental noise by around 60-percent. While 95-percent of your voice is retained. While translates into a great call experience, it also means you can hear people around you. The best part of that is the fact that this is done without taking a major hit on the battery.

Like the other two truly wireless headphones here, Anker has included HearID. Which allows you to adjust the EQ to your liking. That’s important, since not everyone’s musical tastes are the same, this is going to allow you to tune these headphones to your liking.

These do have the shortest battery life out of the three here. With seven hours on a single charge. In contrast to the eight hours that the other two are getting. But with the included carrying case, you’ll get much longer. We’re looking at about 28 hours total.

These are definitely a clone of the Airpods, but don’t write them off because of that design choice. These are actually a really great pair of headphones that are also very lightweight. And of course that $99 price tag isn’t too bad either.

Wrap Up

These are just three of the six truly wireless headphones that Anker announced last month. But these are the three that really stand out.

With two of these coming in at $99 and the higher-end model coming in at $149, Anker is doing a great job at hitting the cheaper truly wireless earbuds market, without putting out a product that would definitely be cheaper. They are all really good sounding truly wireless earbuds from Anker. Rather than just being a few pairs of okay headphones that are just cheap. Also, It continues Anker’s trend of creating high-quality products and selling them at inexpensive prices.

The Soundcore Liberty 2 are just a pretty plain looking pair of truly wireless earbuds. But the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro and Liberty Air 2 are the ones to look out for. As stated already, the Air are definitely Airpods clones, but that doesn’t mean you should write them off. And while Anker’s headphones have lacked a decent amount of bass in the past, that doesn’t mean the Pro should be written off either.

As a result, it makes all of these pairs of truly wireless headphones worth buying. And all three of these Anker Soundcore Liberty truly wireless headphones are up for pre-order now. And launching around mid-October.

All these darn sights need to stop focusing on noise cancelling technology and touting cVc like it’s something a user can hear

cVc is for phone calls only , it is not true noise cancelation as every tech site makes it seem. It is only beneficial when on phone calls and the user on the other end can hear you clearly.

Agree with you completely!! People that aren’t well informed are going to be really upset if they purchase these thinking they will have active noise cancelling. I don’t want Soundcore to get bad reviews because customers are ill-informed.

So this should be mentioned in the offers.
Easy to manage.
