Colette Maze - amazing pianist @ 107 yrs old

With all of the recent threads, of venerable bands getting back together, or releasing new music, I thought I’d offer a change to my usual music opine…

At 107, Ms. Maze has just released her 6th album… here is an article about her, and also some of her recordings that I could find…

Interesting her technique follows Alfred Cortot.

A lot of Debussy on the 2018 album…guess that’s because she was alive at the same time…

So, I know there is a drummer here in the community, that perhaps it’s not too late to dust off the kit and sticks… get the band back together :thinking:

At this age, he can still play so well and even release music albums!

I’d say that in keeping with playing, and recording albums (only had started releasing albums 15 years ago I think), she has kept her mind sharp and her hands limber.

And she plays a mean piano to boot.

Maybe he has a good mind because he plays the piano all the time. This is an exercise for the mind.
