(Thank you again) gave the important hint, I swapped the orange one with a black one.
I could persuade my daughter, that orange is more fashionable.
So I have now a nice very convenient portable little stereo.
My proposal:
If you intent to buy such a little âdwarfâ take two of them.
You will enjoy this.
The sound can be improved enormously by an eq easily.
Having two that can pair is definitely a big plus.
I remain very surprised that the orange and black versions cannot pair with each other. PartyCast is definitely a positive move.
I heard a pair of minis the other day and now I want another one. The paired Icons and Minis sound sooo much better paired.
Do it!

Its always another kind of âsurround soundâ when using two sources. Claro.
And take a look at the costs.
Here in DE a mini is about 16 Euro X 2 = 32 Euro
(thatâs < 29 Euro (free delivery via amazon.de :grinning))
For this sum you will get no better stereo equipment.
And not to forget -> Even two of the little ones are comfortable to carry around.
So the âimportant hintâ is that they both need to be the same color?
So an orange will will only âpearâ with an orange?
Of course not the color is the important difference!
Iâve explained that already.
The two black ones âpearâ fine.
Have no âorangesâ to give pairing a try.
But âapplesâ and âpearsâ will not pair! 
Unless the orange has the same serial number range, then it will pear coorectly.
