Have you ever listened to Dutch songs?

Hello all! I decided to post this as my first post in community.
Since I am studying in the Netherlands now, I am learning Dutch.
I would say my passion for this language develops day by day.
Recently, I found some really nice Dutch songs, therefore I would like to share them with you!
Letā€™s start with two of them!

The first one - In De Schuur by Snelle feat. Ronnie Flex (ā€˜In the barnā€™ in Eng)
very catchy! also check out the video, I like it a lot

The second one - Blauwe Dag by Suzan & Freek
a road trip vibe.

So, thatā€™s an easy entry into the Dutch song world.
More songs by Snelle and Suzan & Freek are also very nice, you can give them a try if you like.
Have you ever listened to some Dutch songs?
Please also share them with me :hugs:

I also found it a cool experience because I usually listen to Korean, Japanese, Chinese and English songs. (besides pure instrument music)
So itā€™s only because I am learning Dutch that I found a new field.
Will try to explore more :dizzy:

@starfan What kind of instrumental music do you listen to?

Mostly violin and piano, but they are not classic music, more like covers of songs but in instrumental version.
And you? do you also listen to some instrumental music?

@starfan Yes, especially film music: E. Morricone, H. Shore, J. Williams,
Z. Preisner, Vangelis, M. Oldfield ā€¦

@ndalby Now you write your favorite instrumental songsšŸ˜€

Hmmm could be quite a list - especially film music (have around 700+ albums)

A few that jump to mind (mainly heard in the last few days)ā€¦

Main Title (Theme from The Eiger Sanction) - John Williams
Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield
Too Many Notes - Not Enough Rest - Hans Zimmer
Chevaliers de Sangreal - Hans Zimmer
Toccata & Fugue in D Minor - Bach
The Eve Of War - Jeff Wayne
Fortress of Solitude - John Williams
Il Triello - Ennio Morricone
ā€œFreedomā€ / The Execution / Bannockburn from ā€˜Braveheartā€™ - James Horner
1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky (interesting variation is composed by Alan Silvestri for the film Blown Away)

@ndalby Thanks!I will write back in the evening when I quietly listen to your favorite movie hitsšŸ™‚.
I wish you a good dayšŸ‘‹šŸ»!

Impressive list.
I would add Space, Vangelis and Jean Michael Jarre

@ndalby
From this set, I would choose in the following order:

  1. Toccata & Fugue in D Minor -Bach
  2. The Eve Of War - Jeff Wayne
  3. Main Title (Theme from The Eiger Sanction) - John Williams
  4. 1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky but original
  5. Il Triello - Ennio Morricone
    6.Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield
You have over 700 CDs in total, is that just 700 of film music?

Around 650 are film / TV related, 150 are a mixture of pop, rock, classical and jazzā€¦so more likely 800 CDā€™s.

Starting to downsize the collection as most are kept in lossless format alongside new albums which Iā€™ve started to buy digitalā€¦
