Help with Liberty air 2

After my right earbud fell in water for a second, it doesn’t play any sound. It charges and connects to the device but little or no sound comes out. The left one works fine though. Any suggestions?

I think I found the problem. How do you remove the protective grill on the part that connects to the tip?

As the buds have IPX5 water resistance I would have thought they would hold up for a splash or quick second submergence.

Have you let it dry for a good amount of time and made sure that wax and the like is not blocking the mesh?

It looks like wax is blocking the mesh. Any way to fix that?

Two ways, both involve a bit of rubbing alcohol.

First you can try a brushing the mesh facing downward with a soft toothbrush, once you can see the wax is coming away, use a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol to give a more deep clean to the mesh.

The second is more gross but not overly different from a babies blocked nose. Use the q-tip with alcohol to start to deal and break down the wax, then suck the mesh and spit out whatever comes out.

Personally I always opt for the first method…
