How a Phoenix record store owner set the audiophile world on fire

In my opinion it’s a pretty interesting story

Oh ja, they don’t have the old “stencils” any more, so the do some re-recording from
mp3 compressed sources.

I havent never thought about such a fraud.
But of course its done, its lousy BUSINESS.

Find those old vinyls at the flea market.
No tricks, but may be some scratches…

OMG, whatever next? There’s always someone trying to make money fraudulently.

I cherish my original vinyl records, but don’t have anything decent to play it on (at the moment).

You will find good used, usaeable turntables .
I would go for a used Thorens.

But the most important is the cartridge.
Ortofon is my choice.
The “needles” can be checked by microscope.
I do that from time to time.

Its a Swiss factory and they are still manufacturing.
I would go for an used one.
But only if one knows about turntables.
(Often defective, not repairable, :
eg adjustment of the pickup arm, belt drive wheel etc)

I would never buy a new one from a unkown manufakturer,
there are many around for ca 100 Euro.

Thorens, Lenco, Audio Technica, Teac all ca 300 Euro, would be a good choice.
