First they hear the sound. Then they play a sound that is the opposite of that sound, timed perfectly to reach your ears at the same time, so that your ear hears the sum of those two sounds - that is, nothing.
Easy, except for all the math and engineering to make it work correctly.
It’s fine until you have to figure it out yourself but those are small details anyway
You guys ruined NC for me now. I thought they put little noise fairies in the earbuds with magical sound blocking unicorn shields. Lol.
That is the very technical terminology for it yes but I didn’t want to confuse people who weren’t on that level yet😂
