Which speaker? And if its bluetooth speaker, put the speaker into pairing mode then go to your bluetooth settings on your phone and choose the speaker from the list of available devices and pair it to your phone.
In order to tell you how to put the speaker into pairing mode, we need to know the what model speaker you have

As @Tank mention we need more details. But in general there is Bluetooth symbol button (or another button) and you press that down until the status light starts blinking (need the model to tell more) then you do a search for Bluetooth devices on your phone then click on the speaker and they should pair.
If there is someone who has a mystic crystal ball he can help. 
Tank! I have My Soundcore Flare+ paired now - but now I need to change the batteries - and I FORGOT how to do it - I’ve not had the speaker out since last summer!
