During jack connection Life Q30 uses only passive noise cancelling. What about ANC. Does headphones need to be turned off while jack is connected?

On my Q30 ANC works fine for me with the cable. I cam power them on regardless of whether the cable is plugged in. If you power them on before attaching a cable they will power off temporarily but then ANC will reinitiate with an announcement of your battery level.
My issue is that you can’t power them OFF using the power button. Detaching the cable will power off the headphones, but sometimes I forget to do this and end up draining the battery.
