Motion+ Alexa connection

I have not been able to connect my Motion+ to either my Echo or Echo dot. Is there something I am not doing? My older Soundcore Boost always connected instantly.

I have had similar troubles connecting bluetooth devices to my Echo devices. Echo devices can be awfully annoying to work with when it comes to bluetooth. I usually use the aux port instead.

Thank Matt but using the aux socket kind of defeats the purpose of having a ‘portable’ speaker, particularly if you want to take it into the garden.

Correct. For when I want to go portable I connect it to my smartphone.

Hey, there. In your case, you can try the following steps to see if it helps:

  1. Clear all the pairing records on your Echo or Echo dot then restart and reset them.
  2. Turn the Bluetooth on and off on your device.
  3. Turn on the speaker, then hold down the Bluetooth and Volume+ button at the same time for 5-10 seconds until Motion+ restarts.
  4. Search for Motion+ in your device’s Bluetooth menu and pair.
