Please note that you can rename the speaker on your Bluetooth page. Sometimes it’s not available to some devices models.
Cannot rename any Bluetooth item on a Mac or iOS.

@pwdmailalerts Hi, I’m wondering whether you make sure the speaker connected before you try to rename it in the Bluetooth settings? I managed it on an Iphone12 mini with iOS14.6.
On the Mac you can rename it … you must option-click.
However that name is temporary. Disconnect the device and it reverts to the original name.
IOW the device doesn’t store that info.
