I am glad the snow is gone as well. I have a time to get my first grass cut as it is either raining, snowing, been visiting others, or visiting with son.
I had a chance recently but had decently pulled a muscle in my knee (think from dogs sleeping in my knee bend as I slept as well. 
)
@Chiquinho flowers are good and have an excellent contrast between colors.

My little two secrets when taking photos :
Canon with a good macro lens and GIMP. 
(GIMP can do a lot, same professionality as Photoshop but a free program!)
The arrangement of the photo above is not so good, can be done better, more symmetry.

I think I meant to try GIMP but had been using photoshop that my wife got for her pics. I still need to work a little more with it as it has been a while.
I will say that I really need a good video software so that I can record some of my home video onto and so they can play on a dvd player but do not know what is out there or what is good.
