It might be tax related, inheritance related, or just a desire not to have to think about management, rights, and approval of usages - all of those things have to be run by an artist or delegated to an employee. Now it is just not her problem.
I’d be curious as to cash flow and NPV on the payout vs 5 years income…
I’m sure she wouldn’t have done if it wasn’t financially a good idea.
Probably so but I would hate to give up my music if it was me…
