The J. Geils Band - Monkey Island (1977)

I’ve been listening to some tunes this morning and landed on this album. I think it’s underrated. As a matter of fact I think as a band, they are too. I saw them at least 5 times back in the day in Detroit (Cobo Arena). They called Detroit their second home (They were from Boston). They recorded a couple of great Live albums in Detroit. What a great live band! People were dancing in the aisles at their concerts!

Here’s a few tracks from Monkey Island:

Surrender

I Do

Somebody

Monkey Island

PS Here’s one of the live albums I was taking about:

J Geils - Full House - (Album 1972)

You should listen to my “little Flare Minis” now.
Whow!
There are so many things to adjust.
Not only a few (normally 8 ) frequencies.
I have exactly 30! here.
And many other things I still not haven’t detected/checked the function.

Too bad there is no LINUX user under the regulars here.

Thanks for sharing these. I had only heard their later stuff – like Centrefold

I know of them as you, only after centrefold… guessing I’ll have to check out the earlier work this week.
