What is the point of having an online version (Amazon, soundcore website, etc) and a store version (Target, Best Buy, etc)

So, we are having the Life P3 release tomorrow (when I’m typing this). What are the chances of having a Life Note 3, at first it made no sense to me but now I guess it’s like Q35 vs Life Tune Pro… but why can’t they just have it as P3 or Q35 everywhere same as Q30 and Life Tune. It’s kinda confusing but is there a reason or benefit to why Anker/Soundcore does this?

Its simple marketing and you may have heard there are shipping issues in China due to Covid-19.

I think it’s also so the online and offline stores don’t have to price match each other.

I agree that it would be less confusing not to have two different versions for products.
