What songs do you remember or started into your favorite music genre

A few songs from me:

A lot of it was really cheesy music, but that was their style and the music is still so good. Definitely holds up today, amazing singers and musicians!

Lol sorry, they’re so catchy! :sweat_smile:đŸ€· Yes, took me a moment to remember you must be referring to the format not the Playlist/Mixtape website called 8tracks! I’m in my mid twenties so I grew up with cassette tapes and floppy disks. Then we had CDs and DVDs, after that it swiftly moved on to MP3 songs and digital methods etc
So much change that all basically happened in my childhood!

Oh man, so many to possibly list :open_mouth: A few I can vividly remember making an impression

Pop - ABBA Greatest Hits was pretty much always on at some point during my youth

Soundtrack (far enough could also link to Pop but it was the first movie soundtrack I ever got)

Metal (didn’t even know this at the time, thought it was rock like Queen)

Rock (old school British at that)

I show you a very special one, Neil!

Isn’t phantastic!

Great songs

Youtube shows me “Video unavailable” when I click on your link

There is a restriction from YT.

I see, it can not be watched directly from other sites .
So you have to click “Watch this video at YT”

But you can search for “Amapola, The Spotnicks, 1963”
You will find it, I am sure.
Enjoy the dancers and the “boys” in their fantastic outfit.

That was nice. Thanks for sharing. Nice outfits, nice music and dancing crowd.

I forgot Joe Dassin. Shame on me.

Drums and guitars as well.

Abba seems to be remembered across the board. Probably some indication of our respective ages, and the catchiness of their tunes. They are hard to forget.

Yep, certainly a band that seem to cross all generations with their music.

Same with the Beatles. :grinning:

Could be, but if you mention abba music starts playing in my head. Not so much the beatles. Not something that was ever part of my life, and while I have heard them now I don’t particularly enjoy it.

When I was playing in a band we didn’t play the Abba (no girls )
But Beatles we played a lot.
