Since LDAC is software rather than hardware based, is it ever likely that the Motion Boom+ will get LDAC support in a firmware update? I’d gladly pay extra for that.

Unlikely as it’s Qualcomm with AptX.
There has been some revisions.

Motion Boom+ supports AAC and SBC but not aptX.
