Mar 5 1st performance of Ludwig van Beethoven's 4th Symphony in B

I know, when talking about polish composers all think only about Chopin.

Do you know him?

Mieczysław Karłowicz

If you like Mahler you should get in touch with his music.

never knew Chopin was Polish, on hearing name said it has that French “n” nasal end so I assumed French. Learn something new every day!

I have to disappoint you. I’m not a music lover. I listened to classical music when I was a bachelor. Now I listen to it rather sporadically. Every day I listen to something that my wife calls “thud”, that is a lot of bass and soprano combined with synthesizers, for example Armin van Buuren.
I love J.M. Jarre.
I know Mahler and I only like the fifth symphony.
I have never listened to Karłowicz :worried:

“Learn something new every day!”
I never thought that I would meet someone who did not know that Fryderyk Chopin was Polish.:slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:
For me it was obvious Chopin = Poland!

Of course I know.

So you see there is a lot to explain and to elaborate.

And why do you think that many are thinking that Ludwig van Beethoven was an Austrian.
