Soundcore 3 Wi-Fi Connection issues

I was recently given a Soundcore 3 speaker as a birthday present. This was an upgrade to my Anker Soundcore (2?) which I have happily been using for years. The problem is that I’m having continual wi-fi connection problems running off my iPad (8th Gen)… The signal is constantly breaking up and sometimes cuts out completely. I have tried repositioning the speaker and deleting and renewing the Bluetooth connection. I never had this problem with my original Soundcore and am beginning to think it’s a hardware issue. Are there any known issues with this speaker? I’m Chris btw.

There was a recent Soundcore firmware update that seems to cause streaming from YouTube to pause, repeatedly, for no apparent reason. This occurs on two different Ubuntu-based PCs which had worked just fine before the update. If I connect directly via a wire from the headphone port, no problem. And it works fine with my Android phone.

Is there a way to return to the previous version (model: Soundcore Motion x600)? I am an Anker fan and have a number of their products. This is an unwelcome surprise.
