No upgrading / updates for me on Windows 10, will wait and watch!

On the side tested, DietPi on one of my RPi devices… love it… extremely lightweight , runnign just the apps I need! plus overclocking profiles

There are some reasons I did.
When I started using LINUX it was a mess.
But within the years it was getting better and better (Shuttleworth)
Now its quite stable, got a lot of software.

And for me much more important, I can use older devices, which would never
(or insufficient) work with WIN,

Microsoft is hurting their reputation with the number of issues that get through to full releases for sure. Not that they didn’t have issues with releases before, but given their current continuous upgrade cycle it seems worse.

I like the previous version and their upgrade cycles such as win 2k, XP, 7… These had service packs and updates but not as drastic as Windows 10…
There is a lot of segmentation in Windows 10 and people have lost track of which one is latest and stable…

I like the principle of not forcing everyone through paid upgrade cycles - they still make their money on new machines and enterprise, but as long as it works you can keep a machine current without purchases.

I don’t think it is as formally defined as Ubuntu’s 6 month cycles, with security updates in between - but there are similar elements.
